The Astrology of Rain Pt.2

On Rain’s birthday (June 25th) I gave a brief description of some of his planetary aspects. Since I don’t have a birth time I will focus on Planets instead of houses I also put his Sun on the Ascendant — because, again, there is no birth time. He has some pretty interesting aspects to his Natal Sun in Cancer that I want to discuss. 

Astrologically the Sun represents our sense of identity. The Sun symbolizes vitality and our purpose. Rain’s Sun makes a pretty tight Square to his Natal Neptune in Sagittarius. This can give an individual a need to feel special in the world and much of this can be linked to his father (Sun) Often people with stressful Sun/Neptune aspects may have had a father that is some how ‘Missing.’ While the parent may be physically in the home, he’s often emotionally absent. This aspect makes Rain discontent in the sense that he always wants more. He wants to be the biggest and best at everything he does. As a child he was probably a dreamer (Neptune) and as an adult he has to make sure to create strong boundaries. This is important because looking at his chart, I can see he can be way too trusting at times.

His Sun also Squares his Natal Mars in Libra making him more at war with himself than anyone else. Winning is of great importance to Sun/Mars types. He also has a lot of pride and is extremely focused. Mars is the God of war and Astrologically symbolizes how one takes action. Now, with his Mars in Libra, this can make Rain a bit passive-aggressive. Libra is all about balance, peace and seeing both sides to the story and you combine that with Mars energy and you can get someone who isn’t always direct when something bothers him. Behind that sweet, boyish face is a man who is quite hot-headed when he’s pissed off. His Moon Squares Uranus and that ain’t exactly somebody you wanna fuck wit. Luckily he has two creative outlets: Acting/Movies. These are perfect vehicles for him to channel some of the explosiveness he carries internally. That Leo Moon of his also semi-squares Mars as well, so push this man’s buttons if you want to. You’ve been warned!

His Sun Trines Jupiter in Scorpio making him a really generous man with pretty big goals. He doesn’t think small. It’s go big, or go home with Rain. He also likes to explore and is a naturally curious individual who’s very much the visionary. There are some issues with self-enlargement (Just a fancy way of saying Jihoon think he’s the shit) Yet he’s pretty playful (Jupiter) about it. It’s not an obnoxious form of self-importance, he’s kind of like a peacock shaking his feathers for all to see. The only thing I would be really concerned about with this particular aspect is him overextending himself. Jupiter tends to expand whatever it touches and with the Sun being linked to ones vitality he can push himself a bit too much.

I’m still a bit amazed by the fact that he has almost no Earth in his chart. He has always struck me as a ‘grounded’ person, but I realize that being grounded and hard working are two different things. I do recall him mentioning in an interview that having a girlfriend would in fact, ground him. That is definitely his lack of Earth talking. A lot of times we seek out energy that we’re lacking in order to create balance in our relationships/love lives.

If I were a professional match maker and could pick the ideal for Rain, I would either choose another water sign for him, either Pisces or Scorpio. This would Trine his Sun and Jupiter nicely. As far as Earth sign women, I would choose either a Capricorn or a Taurus. Capricorn is the opposite sign of Cancer and it would be like two magnets. A Taurus woman would ground him as well and touch his Venus and his Chiron in Taurus which deals with wounds. She could help assist Rain with a lot of the emotional bruises he still carries, especially surrounding his mother and his childhood.

As for the Fire ladies? I would pick a Leo. Her Sun would be close to his Leo Moon and she would encourage his playful side. As for the Air Chicks? I would like a Libra or a Gemini. His Mercury is in Gemini so he likes to talk about a variety of subjects and would need a woman that could keep up with him in that department. 

So for all you ladies, get those plane tickets to Korea…
