Cowrie Shell
Appearance: Cowries are small and roughly egg-shaped. They have a rounded side and flat underside whose opening is a long serrated slit. The finish is glossy and enamel-like.
Associations: Abundance, fertility, growth, groundedness, oracles, prosperity. Oshun taught the Yoruba people of Nigeria how to use shells for divination.
Uses: Cowries are excellent for divination, manifesting our intentions, and soul work.
Moon Shell
Appearance: Moon shells are round and tightly coiled, with a short or flat spire. Their colors and patterns vary widely.
